I passed my driving test in Raheny last Tuesday thanks to the brilliant instruction of Colm Branigan. I am no spring chicken and learning to drive was a daunting and scary task for me. I had other instructors before Colm, but when I went to do my driving test I failed miserably. Someone recommended Colm Branigan to me after that. I realised when I when taking lessons from him, I really knew very little about driving after all the lessons I had from other instructors. He is a brilliant instructor. He has great patience. He is friendly but doesn’t waste time making small talk which I found other instructors did. I got value for money. He made me feel very much at ease and thanks to him I am now a qualified driver. Having not commenced my driving career until the age of 36 I was quite apprehensive and nervous on the day of my first lesson with Colm, but I need not have been. Colm’s patience and ability to calmly and clearly guide me through every red light / junction / roundabout was what gave me the necessary skills to pass my test 1st time in Raheny last Saturday. His structured lessons started by building up my confidence then encompassing every aspect that I was to encounter on the test day. I had put off learning how to drive until my 30s and was nervous and tentative about beginning. He is a relaxed and friendly instructor who eased me into becoming a confident driver in a short space of time. Colm was incredibly dedicated to me as a learner. I would just like to extend my gratitude to Colm. I have been driving for many years, and picked up a lot of bad habits along the way. I rang Colm after I found his advert in the Golden Pages and informed him that I had my test in the next few days. He did everything to fit me in and accommodated my needs. On meeting Colm, he was friendly, good mannered and very professional, we started my pre test with the rules of the road and the road signs, and I hadn’t a clue what any of them were, but Colm kept his cool and reminded me of what they were and also handed me a sheet which turned out to be pivotal in me passing my test. We went through the whole test and he pointed out my mistakes and also my good points. On the day of the test Colm met me at the test centre and we did another pre test, I got significantly less marks this time which was great, but on his sheet I would of scraped a pass. Colm went through the rules of the road again and the signs and hand signals just before I went in. On completing my test I found out I PASSED!! And didn’t pick up one mark on the rules of the road and signs. I was needless to say DELIGHTED and it’s all down to Colm’s skills and professionalism as an instructor. I would have no problem in recommending Colm as an instructor, as I had many bad habits, but once Colm directed me on what I was doing wrong I passed my test FIRST TIME!! Thanks Colm!

After building up the confidence to do the full licence there was no one else I would have chosen to go back to for pre-tests! Colm is a fantastic driving instructor! I had tried other so called leading driving schools and the instructors didn't give clear instructions and weren't helpful. Colm was brilliant. He explained everything so clearly and in a calm and non-condescending manner. I was a very nervous driver before I started and in three weeks he helped me to get rid of all of my bad driving habits. I did my test after 5 lessons with him and passed first time! I would recommend him to everyone especially nervous drivers. He is a gentleman and an all round great teacher.
